CM Punjab Solar Panel Scheme for Households 2025 – Eligibility & Full Details

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched this Roshan Gharana Program in 2025. This scheme aims to provide free solar systems to 100,000 low-income families across Punjab, helping them reduce electricity costs and switch to clean, renewable energy.
What is the Roshan Gharana Program?
This government scheme was launched to combat rising electricity prices and frequent load-shedding by offering solar kits to poor households.
In Phase 1, 50,000 solar systems are being distributed with a budget of Rs12.6 billion. As of May 2025, over 94,000 homes have already been shortlisted, and the installation process is starting in late May. Completion is expected by July 2025.

Future Plans
Although Phase 1 is currently underway, the Punjab government plans to expand the scheme in upcoming phases, with a special focus on rural areas and low-income neighborhoods. Those who were not selected in the current draw can reapply in future phases later in the year.
Why This Scheme Is Important
With electricity bills going up and load-shedding still a common issue, this solar panel scheme provides major financial relief to struggling families. It also plays a role in achieving environmental goals — so far, the scheme has helped reduce 57,000 tonnes of carbon emissions.

The CM Punjab Solar Panel Scheme is a great opportunity for low-income families to save money and improve their quality of life. It also sets an example for other provinces to follow in the shift towards green energy. If you’re eligible, don’t miss the chance to apply in the next phase!
