Under the new federal budget for 2025-2026, the government has increased the allocation for social welfare programs, especially BISP. The quarterly installment for eligible beneficiaries has been raised from Rs. 13,500 to Rs. 14,500. This increment supports low-income families facing rising inflation and economic hardship.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the financial assistance under the 8171 BISP program, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must be a Pakistani citizen.
- Your household income must fall below the poverty threshold.
- Must be registered in the NSER (National Socio-Economic Registry) database.
- You must not be a taxpayer or employed in government service.
- Women-headed households, widows, or persons with disabilities are given priority.
How to Check Online With CNIC?
- Visit the official website: 8171.bisp.gov.pk
- Enter your 13-digit CNIC number.
- Type the captcha code correctly.
- Click on the “Submit” button.
- Your eligibility and payment status will be displayed on the screen.
How to Apply for BISP Support (2025)?
If you are not yet registered, then:
Step 1: NSER Survey
- Visit your nearest BISP Tehsil Office.
- Provide your CNIC and family details for NSER survey registration.
- Ensure your data is updated, especially your mobile number and address.
Step 2: Wait for SMS Confirmation
- Once registered, wait for a confirmation SMS from 8171.
- The SMS will confirm your eligibility and payment schedule.
Step 3: Collect Payment
- After confirmation, visit your designated payment center or HBL Konnect / Bank Alfalah branch.
- Use biometric verification (thumbprint) to collect your payment.
