8171 Benazir Program Update 2025: New Assistance & Registration Process

The 8171 web portal is undergoing updates to make the registration and verification process smoother and more transparent. Due to these improvements, the portal is temporarily closed and is expected to reopen on June 1, 2025.

New Financial Assistance Announcement

The government has announced an updated financial support amount under the Benazir Kafalat (Ehsaas) Program. Eligible families will now receive:

• PKR 10,500 per month as financial aid
• Re-survey opportunity for those previously marked ineligible

According to BISP official Naveed Akbar, ineligible applicants now have a chance to re-register by September 2025 through a new survey process.

PSER Survey Relaunched

The Punjab Social and Economic Registry (PSER) survey has been restarted under the leadership of CM Maryam Nawaz. The PSER survey is crucial for:

• Reassessing the eligibility of families
• Including more deserving women in the Ehsaas Program
• Ensuring fair distribution of aid

Families can now update their information by visiting the nearest BISP office and completing the PSER survey.

8171 SMS Service Restored

The 8171 SMS Service is active again. Eligible individuals can:

1. Send their CNIC number to 8171
2. Get a response confirming eligibility
3. Visit nearby payment centers to receive the aid after biometric verification

April–June payments are currently being distributed, so make sure to check your status promptly.

Updated 8171 Registration Method

Here’s how to register using the new 8171 system:

Step 1: Visit the 8171 Web Portal

• Go to the official BISP 8171 portal.
• Enter your CNIC number without dashes or spaces.
• Type the captcha code displayed on the screen.

Step 2: Check Eligibility

• Once submitted, the system will show your eligibility status.

Step 3: Visit the BISP Office

• Take your CNIC Card and any required documents to your nearest BISP office.
• Request the PSER survey if you’re registering for the first time or reapplying.

Eligibility Criteria

• Be part of a low-income or poor family
• Have a poverty score under 35%
• Be a resident of Pakistan
• Provide valid CNIC and household information
